  • How often should I change my air filters?
    We recommend every one to three months. If you keep pets inside the house, you may need to change your filters more frequently. This will ensure your system runs better and improves air quality.
  • Is there anything I can do to help my air conditioner last longer?
    We recommend washing out the condenser coils every year. JT Air Conditioning offers a service plan that takes care your AC’s routine maintenance and gives you peace of mind.
  • What can I do to get my air conditioning system to work more efficiently?
    Be sure you keep vents clear of drapes, furniture, and other objects that can block airflow. Your outdoor unit should have plenty of clearance surrounding it. Remove tree branches, leaves, and grass from around the unit. Invest in a programmable thermostat as it will help reduce utility bills. There are a wide variety out there, and there are even models that are compatible with your smartphone.
  • Why should I replace my heater or air conditioner?
    You may wish to consider replacing your air conditioning or heating system if it is old, inefficient or in need of repair. Today’s systems are as much as 60% more efficient than those systems manufactured as little as ten years ago. The utility cost savings of a new unit may provide an attractive return on your investment. If you plan on financing the purchase, the monthly savings on your utility bill should be considered when determining the actual monthly cost of replacing a system. The offsetting savings may permit you to purchase a more efficient system.
  • How do I know if I need a new HVAC system?
    If your HVAC system requires constant repairs, is 15 years or older, or cannot heat or cool your home properly, we recommend you replace it. When an HVAC system ages, it does not operate as efficiently and could actually end up costing you more money than it should.
